Battery & Charging

Use only the charger supplied with your eBike or an approved replacement charger.

Always follow the instructions provided in your Owner's Manual.

Charging time varies by model and battery capacity.

Most AIMA eBike batteries require approximately 5–8 hours to reach a full charge.

Please refer to your Owner's Manual for model-specific charging information.

To maximize battery performance and longevity:

  • Avoid extreme temperatures
  • Store the battery in a dry location
  • Maintain a partial charge during long-term storage
  • Follow recommended charging practices

While modern battery systems include safety protections, AIMA recommends unplugging the charger once charging is complete.

AIMA eBikes are designed to withstand normal riding conditions, including light rain and wet roads. However, eBikes should never be submerged in water or exposed to high-pressure washing.

After riding in wet conditions, dry the bicycle and electrical components as soon as possible.

Maintenance & Safety Checks

Regular inspections help ensure safe operation and extend the life of your eBike. Before every ride, we recommend checking:

  • Tire pressure and tire condition
  • Front and rear brake function
  • Battery security and charge level
  • Lights and reflectors
  • Any unusual noises or loose components

To maintain safe operation, AIMA recommends periodically inspecting the following items:

  • Front wheel axle and wheel retention hardware
  • Crank arms and pedal tightness
  • Brake calipers and brake rotors
  • Brake pad wear
  • Spoke tension
  • Handlebar and stem fasteners
  • Suspension components (if equipped)
  • Frame and fork for visible damage

Please refer to your Owner's Manual for detailed inspection procedures and recommended maintenance intervals.

Tire pressure should be checked before riding or at least once per week.

Maintaining proper tire pressure improves safety, ride quality, battery range, and tire life.

Refer to the tire sidewall or Owner's Manual for the recommended pressure range.

Brake pads should be inspected regularly and replaced when worn.

Riding conditions, terrain, rider weight, and mileage can all affect brake pad wear.

If braking performance decreases or unusual noises occur, have the brakes inspected by an authorized dealer.

AIMA recommends having your eBike inspected by an authorized dealer after the first 100 miles (160 km) of riding and periodically thereafter.

Regular professional inspections can help identify wear items, loose fasteners, brake adjustments, wheel truing needs, and other maintenance requirements before they become larger issues.

Maintenance frequency may vary depending on riding conditions, rider weight, terrain, and mileage.

If you notice unusual noises, vibration, reduced braking performance, loose components, or changes in handling, stop riding and inspect the bicycle.

If the cause cannot be identified easily, contact your authorized AIMA dealer for assistance.

Please refer to your Owner's Manual for model-specific maintenance recommendations.

If you have questions regarding inspection, maintenance, or service intervals, please contact your authorized AIMA dealer or AIMA Customer Support for assistance.
